Margaret Rae Will (McGrail) left Mothers Day 18-03-2007 no, goodbye, no warning, just fell asleep.


She was 62 the same age as her dad when he passed away.

She was cheerful that day, sitting having a laugh and looking forward to all her Mothers Day gifts, she spent the morning with me and my sister Karen sharing a laugh over a cup of tea before I went to work. When I put my jacket on to leave she grabbed me and gave me such a hug you wouldn’t believe,‘now you look after yourself, I’ll see you later’ that was it! The last words she said to me, Karen and Jason spent some time with her, opening her gifts having a laugh and a piece of cake it was a typical Mothers Day full of love. After everyone was away Dad made dinner they sat watching the football, she was a terrible fanatic! She was enjoying a great day although she felt very tired.
She went upstairs to freshen up, when she came back down she quietly walked into the living-room, Dad asked if she was ok, ‘yeah just sorting myself’, she sat on the couch and left….. Without another word.

She lived in Drumchapel but originally came from 35 Byron Street, Partick West, she had 2 brothers John who died several years ago and Patrick who still stays in Glasgow with his grown family. She married John McColgan in 1963 and had 2 great kids John & Karen she later divorced John and several years later met Robert Will (Bobby) from Drumchapel,where they added Michelle to their family.

She stayed close to her family and loved her family around her, her mum Norah and dad Jimmy (James) especially for the occasional party.
Margaret was diagnosed with diabetes at 42 after a fall, over the years her health got worse through it, but she never let it get on top of her, even when she took heart failure at 57. No matter what with the failing eyesight and being confined to a wheelchair most days the world could not beat her, she brought her kids up the same way ‘never to let things get the better of them, no matter how tough’. In her later years she lived for her Grandson Jason who she believed was her Brother John’s spirit returning to help her through the aches and pains, no matter how bad her day was Jason made it worthwhile to live, they were the best o’ pals. No matter where mum is now, we will always know she’s listening to us and although we won’t see her we know she’ll be around somewhere

She was my entire world and I will never forget her, I know she will be sorely missed by all the family, in small ways and big ways and especially at Christmas, she never forgot anyone and I hope they return the gesture.
She was my world and I’ll love her until the end of it.

I HAD A DREAM I WAS WALKING WITH AN ANGEL, SHE TOOK MY HAND AND GUIDED ME THROUGH LIFE, ALTHOUGH I
WAS SCARED SHE TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY SHE WOULD ALWAYS BE WITH ME. EVEN WHEN I STARTED TO CRY SHE
WIPED MY TEARS AND WOULD ALWAYS COMFORT ME.

WHO COULD THIS ANGEL BE, AS I STARTED TO CRY I FELT HER SOFT WARM ARMS AROUND ME, COMFORTING ME, IT
GAVE ME THE STRENGTH TO GO ON IN LIFE, THERE WAS NOTHING I WANTED MORE BUT TO KNOW WHO THIS ANGEL
WAS, SHE SAID 'ALL IN GOOD TIME'.
ALTHOUGH YOU WON'T ALWAYS SEE ME, I AM THERE AND I MAY NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS, BUT I AM
LISTENING. GO ON IN LIFE WITH THE STRENGTH I'VE GIVEN YOU AND DON'T EVER DOUBT MY PRESENCE.
AS I WAS COMING OUT OF MY DREAM, I ASKED THE ANGEL HER NAME SHE REPLIED 'MUM'.
